'The lighting design by Sakis Birbilis for Andonis Foniadaki's Alymra was truly out of this world, the stunning effects reflecting raging waters at their most fierce. ... the dancers entering the fray, perform spectacular leaps, contortions and intricate partnering in ever-changing combinations in a highly energetic pursuit of eventual tranquility... exhausting, chaotic yet thoroughly mind-blowing. Alison Kent, Dance Europe - April/May 2024
'...His CIRCUMSTELLARS worked. His dancers came from throughout the ranks, and they moved at such a high speed that it was surprising that all the steps looked fully realized.

Along with the velocity, CIRCUMSTELLARS had plenty of risky moves, making the dancers (especially Mayara Pinerio and Sterling Baca) seem superhuman.' - Ellen Dunkel, Philadelphia Inquirer, Feb, 2022

'...makes for an effortlessly and almost constantly seductive experience... with Foniadakis expertly exploiting the athleticism and musicality of his cast'
Mark Monahan, Daily Telegraph on Symbiosis

'...as all 17 dancers fill the stage, a fascinating logic emerges as the same movements are recycled through different configurations and the work’s precarious balance between order and chaos is sustained, even in the most heart-stoppingly dangerous moments.'
Judith Mackrell, The Guardian on Shakerloops
