The Press
'This Sleeping Beauty rocks!'
- tanz.at
'It is a production with a wow effect, the new Sleeping Beauty at the Linz Music Theater.'
'Choreographer and director Andrey Kaydanovskiy creates a new version of the fairy tale that impresses and captivates.'
- Kronen Zeitung
'A fairy tale can be reinterpreted in a contemporary way and choreographed with such imagination in dance theatre: Andrey Kaydanovskiy, formerly a dancer in the Vienna State Ballet and since this season fully focused on choreography, has once again proven with "Sleeping Beauty" in the Linz Music Theatre that he is a force to be reckoned with in the future of dance.'
'This Sleeping Beauty is refreshingly contemporary, entertaining and attractive, not least for a young audience. Kaydanovskiy has proven that he also knows how to convince in the genre of full-length narrative ballet.'
- Kurier
'Once again, Kaydanovskiy proves his talent for conveying content through dance.'
- Kurier (on Lux Umbra)
'With Lux Umbra, the 35-year-old Kaydanovskiy proves himself to be a highly talented contemporary ballet choreographer.'
- derStandard.at
'Simply sensational and definitely worth seeing!'
- klassikinfo.de (on Cecil Hotel)
'Finally, Cecil Hotel by Andrey Kaydanovskiy proves that contemporary ballet can tell stories in a humorous and surprising way.'
- Klassik begeistert
'The timelessness of Andrey Kaydanovskiy's comic-macabre narrative ballet Cecil Hotel, based on the real serial killer's hideout in L.A., is manifested in its absolute suitability for city theater: well made, atmospherically dense, bizarre thanks to virtuoso dangling limbs.'
- Süddeutsche Zeitung

'Kaydanovskiy succeeded in creating a spectacle that was exciting in every respect, logical and, above all, entertaining.'
- Bachtrack (on Cecil Hotel)

'However, the Palme d'Or of the evening went to Andrey Kaydanovskiy, who scored a direct hit with Cecil Hotel.'
- Kulturvollzug

'In his blatant political message against the insatiable greed of patriarchal-usurpatory systems of power, he puts his choreographic credo into practice: "If you have something to say, you should say it." He has something to say and even finds a striking form for it. Bravo.'
- Süddeutsche Zeitung (on Discovery)

'Subtle and entertaining – you'll want to see this half-hour performance with a soundscape by Dmitry Cheglakov again straight away.'
- tanz.at (on Discovery)

'Love Song is a sophisticated choreography, oppressive and entertaining at the same time. It should not be overlooked.'
- tanz.at

'Really thrilling.'
- tanz.at (on Blizzard)

'The Blizzard: a rousing Pushkin adaptation at the Bavarian State Ballet'
'Kaydanovskiy is a talented storyteller with a great sense of drama, but also of humor.'
- Bachtrack

'A full-length narrative ballet that tells a followable story – and is impressively choreographed.'
'The result is a narrative ballet that, beyond all the classics in the repertoire of the Bavarian State Ballet, enriches the series of dance narratives - there is movement and gesture, there is pantomimic detail and the whole body, which makes all human emotions visible.'
- Oper & Tanz (on Blizzard)
'The highlight of the evening was a Firebird by the already highly decorated young choreographer Andrey Kaydanovskiy. His narrative ballet, marked by a strong, independent aesthetic style, cheekily rejects the old Ballet Russe - while at the same time revitalizing it with a trash look.'
- Tiroler Tageszeitung
