'A stunning opening section.... Her choreography requires vigorous speed and laser-focused precision.. which adds to the visceral quality of the movement...'

'Aspects is by Polish choreographer Katarzyna Kozielska and the clean execution, together with the deocincractic choreographic design, reserve moments of pure emotion.'

"The evening opens with a world premiere. Katarzyna Kozielska created the piece Unleash specially for Chemnitz. In Unleash - unleashing - she feels the question of whether security and stability are always associated with limitations. It's about shackles that limit the dreams and the creativity, and the attempt to free themselves from it. To material expresses this emotional imprisonment, and costumes by Ines Alda create a web of nylon straps. Every dancer hangs on to a band, where they can get entangled , but also free themselves from it."

'The pointe shoe is used in Unleash as a stylistic means for self-discovery. "You can see that a lady is choreographing here, in contrast to the two men," says (Sabrina) Sadowska (Artistic Director, Chemnitz). For the first time she saw this feminine signature in the deceased Pina Bausch in 2009, "and now again with Katarzyna Kozielska.'

'Katarzyna Kozielska’s A.Memory incorporates a mesmerizing scultpure by American artist Janet Echelman into her exquisite choreography, resulting in a unique visual experience for the viewer and providing the dancers with a completely new element with which to interact.'
